A non-ducted ceiling assembly is the interior plenum that mounts to the bottom of a Coleman rooftop air conditioner when your RV does not have ductwork running through the roof. It directs conditioned air straight down into the cabin through adjustable louvers and houses the return air filter and control interface. If your rig has a single AC unit blowing air directly into the living space rather than through ceiling vents, you need the non-ducted version.

How do I know if I need a ducted or non-ducted assembly?

Look at your ceiling: if air enters the cabin directly below the rooftop AC unit through louvers on the assembly itself, it is non-ducted. If air travels through your roof and exits through separate registers in other parts of the RV, it is ducted.
