The ceiling assembly is the interior portion of your Dometic rooftop air conditioner. It is what you see and interact with inside the coach, housing the return air filter, supply grilles, and in many configurations the thermostat or control board that connects to the rooftop unit above. When a ceiling assembly fails, cracks, or needs upgrading to support a new rooftop unit, matching the correct assembly to your specific Dometic system is essential.

This collection covers the full range of Dometic interior AC components, including universal air distribution boxes for non-ducted installations, FreshJet mechanical and wall thermostat distribution boxes, a Penguin II heat pump assembly, CT single zone and multi zone thermostat control kits in white and black, a CCC multi zone control kit, FreshJet return air grilles with QuickCool, replacement louvers, and the WackO Products AC silencer compatible with Dometic and GE units.

Confirm your Dometic AC model number before ordering, as ceiling assemblies are model-specific and not interchangeable between product lines.

What is a Dometic ceiling assembly and what does it include?

A Dometic ceiling assembly is the interior portion of your rooftop RV air conditioner. It houses the return air filter, supply air grilles, and (depending on the model) the thermostat or control board that ties into the rooftop unit above. It sits flush against your ceiling and is what you actually see and interact with inside the coach. The 15 assemblies in this collection cover both ducted and non-ducted Dometic configurations. If your installation is non-ducted with a wall thermostat, see the Dometic ceiling assembly for non-ducted installations with wall thermostat collection for the correct match.

How do I know if I need a ducted or non-ducted ceiling assembly?

Look at your RV ceiling around the AC unit. If conditioned air comes out of vents spread throughout the coach connected by ductwork in the ceiling, you have a ducted system. If the air discharges directly from the assembly itself at the AC location, it is non-ducted. Ducted assemblies use a simple grille and damper layout; non-ducted assemblies include directional louvers and often an integrated control panel. Always confirm your Dometic AC model number on the rooftop unit before ordering. For heat pump configurations, the FreshJet 5 with heat pump ceiling assembly is the correct fit.

Will a Dometic ceiling assembly fit my Coleman or Furrion AC unit?

No. Ceiling assemblies are brand and model specific. The mounting pattern, control wiring, and air pathways differ between manufacturers. A Dometic assembly will not interchange with a Coleman-Mach or Furrion rooftop unit. If you have a Coleman ducted system, see the Coleman ceiling assembly for ducted installations. For Furrion non-ducted setups, use the Furrion Original ceiling assembly for non-ducted installations.

Can I replace just the inside cover, or do I need the full assembly?

It depends on what failed. If the air filter grille is cracked or the louvers are broken, replacement trim and grille parts may be available separately for some models. If the control board, thermostat, or wiring harness inside the assembly has failed, replacing the complete ceiling assembly is usually the cleaner repair and restores full functionality in one step. Have your Dometic AC model number and serial number ready when ordering. If you need help confirming the right part, text or call our team at 817-984-1852.

How long does shipping take and what does it cost?

Most Dometic ceiling assemblies ship via standard ground freight within 1-2 business days of order confirmation, with transit times typically running 3-7 business days depending on your location. Orders over $100 ship free within the contiguous United States. Larger assemblies that require oversized packaging may carry a freight surcharge, which is noted on the individual product page before checkout.
