Dometic Blizzard NXT Ceiling Assembly for Multi Zone Installations

What is the Dometic Blizzard NXT ceiling assembly for multi-zone installations?
This is the non-ducted ceiling assembly designed to pair with the Dometic Blizzard NXT rooftop air conditioner in multi-zone RV setups. The assembly contains the air distribution box, return air filter, and control interface that mounts to the interior ceiling below the rooftop unit. In a multi-zone configuration, it works with a compatible CCC2 thermostat to control the Blizzard NXT alongside other zones in your RV. Confirm your rooftop model and your existing thermostat type before ordering to make sure you get the correct fit.
How is a multi-zone ceiling assembly different from a single-zone version?
A multi-zone ceiling assembly is wired and configured to communicate with the CCC2 (Comfort Control Center 2) network, which allows one thermostat to manage two or more rooftop air conditioners as independent zones. A single-zone assembly typically has its own onboard controls or pairs with a basic wall thermostat and cannot be addressed as part of a larger network. If your RV has front and rear Blizzard NXT units controlled from one thermostat, you need the multi-zone version. For single-zone non-ducted setups using a different rooftop, see our FreshJet 5 with heat pump ceiling assembly for non-ducted installations.
Is this assembly ducted or non-ducted?
The Blizzard NXT multi-zone ceiling assemblies in this collection are configured for non-ducted installations, meaning conditioned air discharges directly through the ceiling assembly louvers into the living space rather than through overhead ductwork. If your RV uses overhead ducting to distribute air to multiple registers, you need a ducted ceiling assembly instead. For a ducted alternative, see the Coleman Power Saver HP ceiling assembly for ducted installations.
Do I need a soft start kit with my Blizzard NXT?
A soft start is not required, but it is worth considering if you run your Blizzard NXT on a 30 amp service, on a portable generator, or alongside a second rooftop unit. Soft start kits reduce inrush current at compressor startup, which lowers nuisance breaker trips and generator strain. See our Coleman RV air conditioner soft start collection for compatible options and amp draw details. For questions on fitment, text or call 817-984-1852.
