PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The PullRite #4810 OEX SuperLite Coupler Kit is the coupling assembly used with PullRite's OEX SuperLite Series fifth-wheel hitch system.

Unlike a conventional fifth-wheel hitch that uses a traditional kingpin jaw and hitch plate, the OEX SuperLite system uses PullRite's uniqueball-and-funnel coupling design.

The system utilizes a specialized kingpin adapter on the trailer that incorporates a coupling ball. The ball then engages the large funnel assembly mounted to the OEX hitch base.

This PullRite"Aim & Drop" design helps make coupling easier by providing a large target area for aligning the trailer with the hitch.

FITMENT & COMPATIBILITY

IMPORTANT: #4810 IS NOT A COMPLETE FIFTH-WHEEL HITCH

The PullRite #4810 is the OEX SuperLite Coupler Kit.  This item is not a complete fifth-wheel hitch and does not mount directly into a truck bed by itself.  The PullRite #4810 must be installed with acompatible PullRite OEX Series base.

PullRite's OEX system uses a modular design that allows the OEX base to be paired with different coupling configurations.

The #4810 SuperLite coupler is used in OEX SuperLite configurations including:

• PullRite #4715 OEX SuperLite — Ford OE puck applications
• PullRite #4815 OEX SuperLite — Ram OE puck applications
• PullRite #4915 OEX SuperLite — GM OE puck applications

For example, the OEX SuperLite configurations pair the appropriate vehicle-specific OEX base with the#4810 SuperLite Coupler Kit.

• Any truck bed mounting system without the appropriate OEX base

25,000-LB. TOWING CAPACITY

The PullRite OEX SuperLite system carries a maximum rated capacity of:

25,000 lbs. Gross Trailer Weight

and:

6,250 lbs. Maximum Pin Weight

However, the 25,000-lb. rating doesnot mean every tow vehicle, trailer, hitch base, or towing combination can safely tow 25,000 lbs.

Your actual allowable towing capacity is determined by thelowest-rated component and the manufacturer's specifications for the tow vehicle and trailer.

CAB-TO-TRAILER CLEARANCE

The OEX SuperLite system is designed to provide additional cab-to-trailer clearance compared with many conventional fifth-wheel configurations. Depending on the complete OEX configuration, PullRite's system can provideup to approximately 7.5 inches of additional clearance. 

Actual clearance depends on the tow vehicle, trailer design, hitch height, pin box configuration, trailer width, and turning geometry.

SHORT-BED TRUCKS

The OEX SuperLite system may be used in certain short-bed applications, but itis not an automatically sliding fifth-wheel hitch. Short-bed truck owners must verify the required cab-to-trailer clearance for their particular truck and fifth-wheel trailer. 

Do not assume that the OEX SuperLite eliminates the need to verify turning clearance. 

PullRite's application information should be reviewed carefully for 6-1/2-foot-bed trucks and other short-bed configurations.

GOOSENECK APPLICATIONS

The OEX SuperLite system can be incorporated into certain gooseneck trailer applications. PullRite offers the#4443 Gooseneck Trailer Adapter (not included), which is designed for use with compatible SuperLite configurations.

The #4443 Gooseneck Trailer Adapter is sold separately.

Verify your specific trailer coupler and OEX configuration before purchasing additional gooseneck components.

INSTALLATION & SAFETY

This is a heavy-duty towing component and should be installed exactly according to PullRite installation instructions.   

Professional installation is recommended if you are not experienced with fifth-wheel hitch or hitch coupler installations or towing equipment.
