Thetford is one of the most widely installed toilet brands in the RV industry, and the good news is that most common failures are fixable with an inexpensive part rather than a full replacement. The Aqua-Magic lineup, including the V, VI, Style II, Style Plus, Style Lite, and Bravura, all share a similar gravity-flush design with parts that are model-specific, so knowing your exact toilet series before ordering is important.

The most frequently replaced parts are water inlet valves, waste ball seals, waste ball and drive arm kits, vacuum breakers, floor seals, and flush pedals. The selection here covers all of those for the most common Thetford models, along with hand sprayers, seats, and flush nozzle kits.

What Thetford RV toilet parts do you carry?

This collection covers the most common Thetford service parts: water valves, foot pedals, flush mechanisms, blade seals, bowl seals, hand sprayers, and closet flange kits. We stock parts for the Aqua Magic Style II, Aqua Magic V, Aqua Magic IV, Aqua Magic Galaxy, and Aqua Magic Bravura. Confirm your model number stamped on the base of the toilet before ordering so you get the correct fit. For tank treatments and holding tank care, see our Thetford chemical and holding tank treatment collection.

Which water valve fits the Thetford Aqua Magic Style II 42070?

The Thetford 42070 Aqua Magic Style II uses a dedicated water valve assembly that controls bowl rinse and flush flow. If the toilet leaks at the back when the water pump runs, or will not stop filling the bowl, the water valve is usually the failure point. Match the replacement valve to your specific Style II revision by checking the date code on the toilet base, and replace the inlet filter screen at the same time to prevent debris from damaging the new valve.

How do I know which Thetford toilet model I have?

Thetford prints the model name and a date code on a sticker at the back of the toilet base, behind or beside the foot pedal. The Aqua Magic Style II reads model 42070, Style Plus reads 42060, Aqua Magic V reads 31667 or similar, and Bravura reads 31120 series. If the sticker is missing, photograph the foot pedal and base profile and text it to 817-984-1852, our team can identify the model and confirm the correct replacement parts.

Are Thetford replacement parts easy to install?

Most Thetford service parts are designed for owner installation with basic hand tools. Water valves typically use two mounting screws and a quick-connect water line. Blade and bowl seals slide into place without adhesive. Foot pedal mechanisms are a single-bolt swap. Shut off the water pump and drain the supply line before starting any toilet repair. Plan on 20 to 45 minutes for a water valve replacement and about 15 minutes for a seal swap.

What is the difference between a blade seal and a bowl seal?

The blade seal sits between the bowl and the holding tank and seals around the flush blade when it closes, this is what holds water in the bowl and blocks tank odors. The bowl seal sits under the rim and prevents water from leaking onto the floor when you flush. A bowl that will not hold water is almost always a blade seal failure, water pooling at the base of the toilet is almost always a bowl seal failure. Both seals are inexpensive and worth replacing together while the toilet is apart.
