Do I need a 30 amp or 50 amp Progressive Industries unit?

Will a Progressive Industries EMS work with a generator or solar inverter?

EMS units work with clean sine-wave generators and inverters that produce stable 60 Hz output and proper neutral-ground bonding. Some inverter generators float the neutral, which the EMS reads as an open ground fault. In that case a neutral-ground bonding plug on the unused generator outlet resolves the error. Modified sine-wave inverters are not recommended with EMS units.
