An OE puck system is a factory-installed mounting platform built into the bed of late-model tow trucks from Ford, GM, and Ram. The truck bed contains four or five recessed pucks that accept compatible hitch legs directly, with no aftermarket rails or above-bed base required. Hitches in this collection drop into those factory pucks and lock in place, giving you a flat, open bed when the hitch is removed. All 23 hitches here conform to SAE J2638, the industry standard for puck-mounted 5th wheel attachment.

Will these hitches fit my truck's factory puck pucks?

These hitches are designed for trucks with a factory-installed OE puck system that meets SAE J2638. That covers Ford Super Duty (2017+ prep package), Ram 2500/3500 (2013+ with 5th wheel prep), and GM Silverado/Sierra HD (2020+ with prep package). Confirm your truck has the OEM puck system installed from the factory before ordering, aftermarket rail-mount hitches will not work with this collection. If your truck shipped without the prep package, you will need a rail-based hitch instead.

What weight ratings are available in this collection?

The 23 hitches in this collection cover gross trailer weight ratings from 16,000 lbs up to 25,000 lbs, with vertical load ratings scaled accordingly. Match the hitch rating to your loaded trailer weight, not the dry weight on the brochure. If you are towing a heavy fifth wheel toy hauler or a triple-axle rig, size up to the 20K or 25K models.

Do these hitches require any drilling or bed modification?

No. That is the main advantage of the OE puck design. The hitch legs drop directly into the factory pucks and lock with handles or pins, so installation takes 10 to 15 minutes with no drilling, no above-bed rails, and no permanent modification to the truck bed.
