In a non-ducted Advent install, the ceiling assembly does everything at one spot. Cooled air leaves the rooftop unit and discharges straight into the living space through its grilles, the return pulls back through the same opening, and the controls sit right there, which is why a non-ducted Advent needs no separate wall thermostat.

That makes it the wrong part for a ducted coach. If your ceiling has vents distributing air along the length of the rig, the air never passes through an assembly like this and you need the ducted version.

The ACRHD heat strip and the start capacitor kit install alongside it on ACR units, and the ACCOLKIT lets an Advent unit go into an opening left by a Coleman.

Check the model number on your rooftop unit before ordering.

What Advent Air AC models does this ceiling assembly fit?

This ceiling assembly is designed for Advent Air ACR-series rooftop air conditioners installed in non-ducted RV applications. Confirm your model number on the rooftop unit's data plate before ordering to make sure you get the correct fit. If you have a non-ACR unit or a ducted system, you will need a different assembly, for ducted setups see our Coleman Power Saver HP ceiling assembly for ducted installations.

What is the difference between a ducted and non-ducted ceiling assembly?

A non-ducted ceiling assembly discharges cooled air directly into the living space through its own grilles and is used when the RV has no overhead ductwork. A ducted assembly routes air through the coach's ceiling duct system. Installing a non-ducted assembly on a ducted coach (or vice versa) will cause airflow and condensation problems, so verify your roof and ceiling configuration before ordering.

Does the ceiling assembly include the thermostat and controls?

Yes, Advent Air non-ducted ceiling assemblies typically include the control board, thermostat, and air distribution grilles needed to operate the rooftop unit from inside the coach. Check the product page specifications for the exact components included with each kit, and if you are also replacing the rooftop unit you may want to look at related parts like a Coleman RV air conditioner soft start kit to reduce inrush current at startup.

How is the ceiling assembly installed?

The assembly mounts to the underside of the rooftop AC unit using the existing bolt pattern and roof compression gasket, with the control wiring routed to the rooftop unit's terminal block. Most DIY owners can complete the swap in under an hour with basic hand tools. Need help confirming fitment or wiring? Text or call our team at 817-984-1852.
